The D.D.S./Ph.D. Program integrates graduate and clinical training, allowing students to pursue a Ph.D. in Oral Biology while enrolled in Ohio State's D.D.S. program. The Oral Biology Ph.D. Program is specially adapted to the multidisciplinary nature of oral health research, including basic and translational research in microbiology, genomics, molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, epidemiology, and cell biology. By participating in this 7-year, dual-degree program, students enrich their understanding of both patient care and scientific research while reducing fees and future debt. Our goal is to recruit and train highly qualified candidates in order to boost the dwindling number of oral health researchers, moving dentistry into a bright future.

Eligibility: U.S. Citizen or permanent resident.

Requirements: Acceptance in both the D.D.S. and Oral Biology Ph.D. programs.
